According to a recent study released by Indeed, Canada is in desperate need of tech workers. Software developers are among the most in-demand and hardest to fill tech jobs for Canadian employers at present. Other jobs include: programmer analysts, IOS developers, senior systems administrators, software engineers and oracle developers.

The Government of Canada is aware of this shortage in the tech sector and is possibly developing an appropriate policy to meet this growing demand. Canada must act now to attract the best talent available before our neighbours on the south side of the border come up with tougher rules for H1B or other work permit programs.

I have been approached by many people in stressful situations as the processing time to potentially get a green card in the U.S. can range from 10-15 years from now, or possibly more.
