Tourism is one of the nine industries identified as the key sectors and have been defined as economic priorities for Ontario. This means that the government will remain business-friendly to investors in Ontario in this sector. There are already many incentive programs in place to increase the pace of development in Tourism investment. Many municipalities in Ontario have identified lands that are market-ready for such investments.

This is the right time to immigrate to Ontario, Canada by investing in Tourism sector under the Ontario Entrepreneur Program (OINP).

Ontario experiences all four distinct seasons during each year (spring, summer, fall and winter) and, therefore, offers year-round tourism opportunities. Ontario has approximately quarter-million lakes and thousands of kilometers of canals. Personally I visit skiing resorts in winter, look forward to festive events that start in spring, enjoy beaches and water sports in summer, and go for long drives in fall to enjoy scenic beauty of the changing colors of vegetation.

Approximately 150 million tourists visit Ontario each year that generates around CAD $ 30 billion in annual revenue in the province. This amounts to more than 50 % of all spending by foreigner visitors in Canada. Ontario shares the largest land border in the world with United States and attracts overnight visitors from there. Domestic market is also huge for overnighters. Due to its huge length and breadth, many residents travel across the province.

Ontario is also planning to build resort style “Vacation Villages”. This is absolutely amazing idea to attract tourism to Ontario and also to grow jobs and the economy. Viability and feasibility studies are being undertaken. Let us hope all goes well and people all around the world can see and enjoy more of our beautiful Ontario.
